Swim team practice starts in one week!
Hello everyone and welcome to the 2025 East Hampton Hurricanes swim season!
There's a lot of info in here, so bear with me...
Swim team practices begin in one week! Afternoon practices start Monday, 5/12 and run weekdays through Friday, 5/16. Times are: 4:30-5:00 for 5-6 year olds, 5-5:30 for 7-8 year olds, 5:30-6 for 9-10 year olds, and 6-6:30 for 11+ year olds.
Monday, May 19 we will have a practice meet. Plan to arrive at 5:00 for warm-ups and we will start at 5:30 (meets usually start at 6:00 but since it's just our team we can go earlier). Concessions will sell pizza, chips, drinks, baked goods, hawaiian roll sandwiches and pulled pork sandwiches.
Tuesday, 5/20 will be the swim team season kickoff party from 4:00-6:00 (details to come), NO practice the last day of school Wed 5/21, and Thurs, May 22 we will have a stroke clinic for age groups 9 and older (no practice for 5-6 and 7-8 that day)- more info to come on this exciting event. Regular morning practices start on Fri 5/23. Times are: 8:30-9 for 5-6 year olds, 9-9:45 for 7-8 year olds, 9:45-10:30 for 9-10 year olds, and 10:30-11:30 for 11 and older. Kids must have an adult present when at the pool when it is not their practice time!

The Cobb Summer Swim League participates in an awesome event called a Pink Out. This is the final meet of the season and everyone wears pink and money donated goes towards breast cancer education and support for Cobb County residents through It's the Journey. Lastly, a few reminders- the team can only function with the help of YOU! We need parent volunteers to fulfill most of the roles at swim meets: timers, judges, concessions, data entry, set up, etc- almost every role at a meet is done by parent volunteers. If you are signed up to work a shift at a certain meet, it is imperative that you show up to work, or if unable to, find someone else to take your spot. Also, if you have neighbors or friends outside the neighborhood looking to join a swim team, we are still accepting registrants. Direct them to the website to register at ehhurricanes.swimtopia.com
